A break at our Cabarita apartments puts all the Tweed Coast’s best attractions right at your fingertips.
Here’s just a small selection of the great things to see and do during your stay.
Shopping and Dining
The Tweed region is known for its fresh, flavoursome produce, talented chefs and laid back approach to dining. The seafood is particularly good with many of the best local restaurants offering sumptuous buffets of oysters, crab, deep sea fish and prawns. You’ll find many great places to eat within walking distance of the resort, while Kingscliff, one of the region’s most popular dining destinations, is just a short drive away.
For great shopping, you can head to Tweed City Shopping Centre in Tweed Heads for all your favourite national retail chains, take a trip into Broadbeach to explore Pacific Fair or check out the local art galleries, gift shops and boutiques as you explore the local villages by foot.
We are spoilt for choice when it comes to sourcing fresh local produce and handcrafted arts & crafts with both the Kingscliff & Pottsville Markets within a short drive.
Beaches and Natural Attractions
The beautiful Cudgen Lake, located just steps from our Cabarita Beach apartments, is sure to become the focal point of your stay. Surrounded by the lush forest of the Cudgen Nature Reserve, the lake’s calm, shallow waters are the ideal place to swim with the kids during your break. Borrow a kayak and get out and explore the nearby creeks, get up close to rare water birds, or simply kick back and enjoy the tranquillity.
Just 1 km from the resort, the golden sands and rolling waves of Cabarita Beach offer a fantastic place to sunbathe, swim and surf during your break.
Beach lovers can also spend a day exploring the renowned beaches of Kingscliff, Casuarina, Pottsville & Hastings Point; not to mention the Gold Coast and Byron Bay beaches, both less than a 30 minute drive.
Whether it’s fishing for crabs on the Tweed River, a hot air balloon adventure above the spectacular coastal scenery of Byron Bay, or cuddling a koala at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, there are countless opportunities for family fun on a Tweed Coast break. Best of all, with so many gorgeous beaches, parks and rivers right at your fingertips, many of the best attractions are completely free!
The Northern NSW Whale Watching season runs June to early November. Our Cabarita area allows easy access to both Gold Coast & Byron Bay whale watching tours. Please contact us to book your tour today!
