National Trust Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary V2

It is time for some family fun at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Here you will not only witness amazing Australian wildlife but you can also cuddle a koala, feed a kangaroo as well as enjoy great entertainment and various activities.

Don't know where to start? Below is a list of shows and activities you can try.

Free Flight Bird Show
Start of by meeting the country's most beautiful species of birds at the Free Flight Bird Show. Witness the beauty of the Australian pelican, parrots, birds of prey, the wedge-tailed eagle, and more as they fly across the audience. You can even have a photo opportunity if you stick by after the show.

Cuddle a Koala and Take a Photo
There are only two states in Australia that offer to cuddle a koala and Queensland is one of them. So while you are at the sanctuary, take the opportunity to cuddle these cute and furry creatures.

In addition, make sure to capture the special moment. The sanctuary offers a Koala Pack perfect for families who have more than one person interested in this experience. Simply visit the Koala Photos Studio from 8am to 5pm to cuddle a koala and have your photo taken.

Segway Safari
Want to explore wildlife in a unique way? Then try the eco-friendly Segway Safari tour. If you haven't tried riding a segway, don't let it get in the way of a unique experience.

The Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is all about safety, so there will be a 10-minute introduction and training session. After this, you can glide through the land and rainforest for 40-minutes. You can even feed the kangaroos and learn more about them from your own personal wildlife officer.

Currumbin Wildlife Hospital
Alex Griffiths, the founder of  the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary started this initiative 65 years ago. In 1989, the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital was born to help and treat all native animals. At present, the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital continues to do so. Now, the park visitors can see how the amazing wildlife are cared for. Just drop by the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital.
